About Us
Professional repair service with a neighborly feel
SoCal Appliance & Home Repair was built around trust, clean work, and dependable service.
Why we do it this way
Big repair companies optimize for volume. We optimize for trust. That means fewer jobs per day, more time to diagnose properly, and conversations that do not feel rushed. It also means when something goes wrong, you talk to us — not a regional manager three states away.
We built this company around the idea that Southern California families deserve repair service that feels human: someone who listens, explains what they found, and treats the inside of your home with the same respect they would want in theirs.
Principles we actually live by
- We would rather lose a job than recommend work we would not do in our own home
- We keep the team small so every customer gets familiar faces, not a rotating cast
- We train technicians the way you would teach someone in your own family — patient, thorough, and honest
- We remember repeat customers and treat their homes with the same care every visit
- We put our name on the van because we stand behind what we do
Our Story
From the garage to kitchens across Southern California
Mike Reyna started SoCal Appliance & Home Repair after years of seeing how the industry often treats homeowners — rushed visits, vague explanations, and pressure to replace when a repair would do. He wanted to build the opposite: a company where the person on the phone is the same person who cares about the outcome.
Robert Ruiz came on board with the same mindset — strong technical skills, but more importantly, the patience to walk a homeowner through what is happening and why. Together they have built a team that feels less like a service ticket and more like a neighbor who happens to be really good with appliances.
We are still family-owned. We still take calls personally. And we still measure success by whether we would be comfortable recommending ourselves to our own relatives — because most of our customers find us exactly that way.
How We Got Here
A business that grew the old-fashioned way
It started at home
Mike grew up taking things apart, putting them back together, and learning that a good fix should last. Helping family members with broken appliances turned into helping friends, then neighbors.
Word got around
No big ad budget — just honest work and people telling other people. Referrals from families who had a good experience became the backbone of how we grew.
We kept it in the family
Instead of franchising or bringing in outside call centers, we stayed small and hands-on. Robert joined the team, and together we built something we are proud to put our names on.
Same values, bigger reach
Today we serve homeowners across Southern California — but every visit still feels personal. Same standards we would want in our own homes.
Inside Your Home
What it looks like when we show up
We introduce ourselves at the door
You will know who is coming before they arrive. No surprise subcontractors — the people on our website are the people who show up.
We explain before we replace
If a part can be repaired instead of swapped, we will tell you. If a repair does not make financial sense, we will say that too. Your kitchen, your call.
We leave it cleaner than we found it
Work areas get protected, parts and packaging get picked up, and we walk you through what was done before we head out.
